Teagasc Johnstown Castle

Johnstown Castle in Co. Wexford is Ireland’s leading research centre for soils and the rural environment, and Teagasc research staff have been reporting soil analysis results from here since the 1950s. The laboratory processes farm soil samples for pH, lime requirement, phosphorus, potassium and trace elements, underpinning nutrient management planning across Irish agriculture.
